The whys and wherefores...Welcome to our AOL information center. Here you will find information relevant to the AOL experience: the bad things, the very bad things, and the occasional oddity that comes up and impresses us every once and a while. It should be obvious to all involved that AOL is not going away any time soon, and debate will rage on about whether or not it really should go away. The fact remains that AOL is still the largest service provider in the United States, and I would venture to say that AOL also maintains the most undereducated user base on the Internet today. That said, we present ourselves to you as something of an educator. Our familiarity with AOL comes from a variety of resources, but what we will present to you are those things that we learn primarily as a user. The reason for this is obvious: few people reading this are concerned about AOL in any other way. Who cares what kind of servers AOL is running or exactly where your mail gets funneled to or from? Users want to know who to call when they have problems, what kinds of problems are common, how to change billing information, and how to cancel. They want to know what this service is all about and why on earth they should care. Those are the people that we am primarily concerned about. For those more technically inclined, we will make some pages available later to suit your fancies as well. Why you should be concerned about AOL Setup, Installation and Registration (or: What you are in for) When installation fails... Testimonials The first signs of trouble So you want to cancel?
